A brewery website that points people to the shelf.

The brief

Meta Brewery is a Calgary brewery with no taproom. Its beer is sold through liquor stores, bars and restaurants, so the website has two jobs: help people find a beer they will ask for by name, and give licensed retailers a simple way to order.

What I did

I moved the site from WordPress to Shopify and redesigned it around the range. Every beer and seltzer has its own page, in its own can colour, with style, strength, food pairings and a link to its Liquor Connect listing so a local store can bring it in.

The shop sits behind a wholesale login, so approved retailers see prices and can order while everyone else sees the brand. Contract brewing and retailer enquiries each have their own page and form.

I handled the search groundwork too: page titles and descriptions, structured data, and redirects from the old addresses, including the link page behind the brewery’s QR codes.

Where it stands

The site is live, and new beers slot in as a page and a product without a rebuild.
