A brewery brand designed to work on a shelf.
Logo, naming support, and can and carton design across a growing range of IPAs, lagers and ready-to-drinks, plus the website and display material.
The brief
A craft brewery is judged in about two seconds, from three metres away, through a cooler door. Meta Brewery needed a brand that would hold its own there and keep holding as the range grew.
What I did
I designed the logo and built a packaging system around it. Each beer gets its own colourway and personality, from Wavelength and Nucleus to the Flux hard iced teas, while the family stays recognisable at a glance.
The same system carries across four-packs and cartons, the website, and the display materials that go to market with the product. I also supported naming and wrote the copy.
Where it stands
The range keeps expanding, and each new product slots into the system without a redesign. That is the test of packaging that was planned as a family from the start.
