I started Muse Design in 2007 because I love helping people turn an idea into something they can see, hold and be proud of. Nearly twenty years on, I still work one-on-one with every client.
It’s your story and your personality. It’s the value you offer and the experience you give people. When all of that lines up, you can trade the awkward stage for growing your business from a place of ease and confidence.
That is the work I love. I’ve spent nearly twenty years working with business owners to shape brand identities, websites and publications that take them from feeling stuck and overlooked to stepping forward with clarity.
My background is unusual for a designer. Alongside the studio, I spent more than a decade inside municipal government as a communications advisor, running public engagement, media relations and communications for audiences of tens of thousands. So I can design your brand and your website, then write the campaign that goes with them.
I take on a deliberately small number of clients so each one gets real attention. Most stay for years, which is why my portfolio is less a set of one-off projects and more a record of long relationships.
I lead every project myself and bring in trusted specialists, such as photographers, videographers and developers, when a project calls for them.
In Greek myth the nine Muses never made the work themselves. They inspired the people who did. That is how I see my job: your business is the story, and I help it find its form.
To muse also means to think something through, and that’s where every project starts. I paint when I’m not designing, and the two feed each other. Both begin with looking closely.
